SkyGlancer ("we", "us", "our") operates the website skyglancer.com and related services (the "Service"), a platform that aggregates publicly available live camera streams and allows merchants to claim and operate camera locations. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. Information We Collect

Account information. When you register we collect your email address and display name. Passwords are stored only as salted hashes.

Payment information. Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number; Stripe provides us only a customer reference and payment status.

Content you submit. Camera claims, location proposals, advertisements (title, body, image and link you provide), and merchant applications.

Usage data. Basic technical data such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed and ad impression/click counts, used for security, abuse prevention and aggregate statistics.

2. How We Use Information

We use your information to operate the Service: authenticate your account, process subscriptions and ad-slot payments, review merchant applications and camera claims, display and rotate advertisements, detect and block abuse (including automated traffic and region-restricted actions), and communicate service updates.

3. Cookies and Local Storage

We use a small number of strictly necessary cookies/local-storage entries to keep you signed in and to remember your cookie choice. We may use privacy-friendly analytics to understand aggregate traffic. When you first visit, a consent banner lets you accept all cookies or essential ones only. You can change your choice at any time by clearing site data in your browser.

4. Third-Party Services

Stripe — payment processing (cards, checkout, receipts).

YouTube / public institutions — some streams are embedded from third-party platforms or public government feeds. When you watch such a stream, the provider may receive your IP address and set its own cookies. We do not control those providers.

Map tiles — map imagery is served by third-party tile providers; requests include your IP address as with any web resource.

5. Data Retention

We keep account data for as long as your account exists. Payment records are retained as required by tax and accounting rules. Advertisements you submit are retained while the ad slot is active or pending, and removed on request.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (including the EU/EEA and various US states) you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, and to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at the email below; we respond within 30 days.

7. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

8. Security

We use HTTPS for all traffic, hashed passwords, scoped JWT tokens and server-side access controls. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your data with industry-standard measures.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the Service evolves. Material changes will be announced on the site. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
